2018 Season - Week 4
No Halls This Week
Sadly our 3 week run of Hall of Fame Scoring by an owner was broken this week despite some very good performances. The Abberstein’s deserve special mention as Alex and Daz put up the highest totals this week with 42 points apiece, one more than Johnnie. Alex should be singled out for praise as he is doing this without a kicker, Greg Zuerlein has missed the last 3 weeks with a groin injury, though the Rams hope he’ll be back this week. BUMS Team of September
And so the first month of the season is in the book. The best BUMS team of the month scored 261 points but would have cost you $13 million to buy them. To get inside the $10m budget we must drop Will Lutz (Tring & New Orleans) who scored 41 points at a cost of $2m and Todd Gurley (Wolverines & Rams) – 40 pts for $3m and replace them with Justin Tucker (Langley & Baltimore) – 39 pts for $1m and Carlos Hyde (Old England & Cleveland) 30 pts for $1m. The future is very bright for the Sofa Wreckers over the next few years as Johnnie’s Franchise Running Back Alvin Kamara (New Orleans) scored 40 points for $0.5m and his QB Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs) 44 for $1m. The top scoring Receivers are AJ Green (Phoenix & Cincinnati) – 30 pts for $2m, Tyreek Hill (Wolverines & Chiefs) and Cooper Kupp (Underachieving & LA Rams) who both scored 24 pts at a cost of $2m. They are coached by any of these 3, who all scored 18pts for $0.5m:- Adam Gase (Karori & Miami), Mike Vrabel (Wolverines & Titans) or Sean Payton (Perivale & New Orleans). This team costs $10m and scored 249 pts, that’s 60 more than Marcus who leads by 30 points.
Out For A Duck?
There are still 21 players who have yet to open their accounts this year and a number of injured players on BUMS rosters. And it doesn’t matter how high you were drafted, 4 first rounders have yet to get off the schnide, Julio Jones, Leonard Fournette, Odell Beckham Jnr and Rex Burkhead. Three Franchise men have yet to open their accounts, Christian McCaffrey (Cheryl), LeSean McCoy (Chief) and retired RB DeMarco Murray (Wayne). Will owners cut ties with any them and work with reduced budgets? How many players are for the chop? All will be revealed on Trading Day 1 which is Saturday EVENING 13th Oct.
