2018 Season - Week 14

Three BUMS Weeks To Go

There were very little changes in the standings this week but one move was a very big one as Marcus passed Johnnie to go top of the Premiership by 14 points. Meantime AP’s week 14 high score of 41 points moved him 33 ahead of Alex in the battle for the final promotion place. If we take the past 3 weeks scores and extrapolate those over the last three weeks of the season it’s Marcus, currently in great form, who will win the Premiership finishing 79 points ahead of Johnnie with Craig another 7 points behind. The weekly look back/forward predicts no shake up the relegation or promotion battles with Daz, Mark and AP replacing Wayne, George and David S in the Premiership. Three NFL Weeks To Go Two more teams have booked their places in the post season as The Chiefs (Wildcard) and Saints (NFC South winners) join the Rams, all three are now 11-2. This weekend New England (9-4), Houston (9-4), LA Chargers (10-3), Dallas (8-5), Chicago (9-4) and Seattle (8-5) can clinch a playoff berth in week 15. Eliminated from the playoffs are Buffalo, Jacksonville, NY Jets & Arizona along with San Francisco and Oakland who were eliminated last week. That makes 23 more teams still in with a chance of the postseason. Another BUM on IR In an injury ravaged season Wayne, who lost his first year franchise QB Jimmy Garoppolo has just seen Eagles RB Corey Clement be placed on IR. Last week 6 new players were signed to rosters including one each from Buffalo & Oakland so all 32 NFL teams are again represented in our league. George & Dave G did not drop their IR kicker & receiver last week and so they, along with Wayne have until 11pm Thursday to inform me who their replacements are, for their players to be active for week 15. Remember to keep an eye out on your player’s health at nfl.com/transactions BUMS on Seats Thursday night’s game is a cracker as LA Chargers (10-3) travel to Kansas City (11-2) and we are meeting to watch that at HQ for Fish n Football Friday (so let me know if you can make it). We will be back at HQ on Sunday to see the Dolphins (7-6) play at the Vikings (6-6-1) at 6pm followed by an interesting AFC clash as New England (9-4) travel to Pittsburgh (7-5-1). On Monday we will be at Marcus’ from 7pm to see the LA Rams (11-2) entertain defending Superbowl Champs Philadelphia (6-7) and at Johnnies on Tuesday from 7pm to watch the top seed in the NFC, the New Orleans Saints (11-2) @ the Carolina Panthers (6-7). As always all are welcome, just let the host know.
