2018 Season - Week 11 (Cont)
Favourite NFL Teams
Returning to more instant Trading Day analysis we can now see who are the most and least popular NFL teams in the BUMS are. Unsurprisingly we dropped three Raiders and two Jaguars. Meantime three Colts and three Browns were signed, though the Browns did have one player cut. Trading left us with no Bills nor Raiders on BUMS rosters. There is one NY Jet and one Washington player on our rosters. Our favourite teams are Atlanta, LA Rams, New England, New Orleans and Philadelphia with seven players each in the BUMS followed by Green Bay, Kansas City, Minnesota and Pittsburgh who have six players each.
Cuts by draft round
Chief and Mark cut underperforming second year franchise players, LeSean McCoy and Derek Carr respectively. Three first round picks were released, AJ Green by Marcus, Jimmy Graham by Alex and Kenyan Drake by Johnnie. Four owners made corrections for signing players on TD1 who didn’t work out, David S (DeAnthony Thomas), Andy H (Marshawn Lynch & Robbie Anderson), Marcus (John Brown) and Johnnie (Cody Parkey). One second rounder, three third, a fourth, four fifth and four sixth rounders were also cut.
Cuts by position
As was mentioned earlier 11 of the 19 players cut were Receivers (2 were Tight Ends), while 5 Running Backs lost their jobs along with a Coach a Kicker and a Quarterback.
BUMS on Seats
It’s Thanksgiving Day this Thursday (22nd) and Cheryl will be providing her traditional Turducken feast as we watch the first two games of the Thanksgiving Triple Header. It’s Chicago (7-3) @ Detroit (4-6) from 6pm followed by Washington (6-4) @ Dallas (5-5). We’ll be back at HQ on Friday from 6:30pm to see the third game as New Orleans (9-1) host Atlanta (4-6). We’ll return to HQ on Sunday from 6pm to watch the Giants (3-7) @ the Eagles (4-6) followed by Pittsburgh (7-2-1) at Denver (4-6). As is now the norm we will be meeting at Marcus’ at 7pm to see the Sunday Night game where Green Bay (4-5-1) travel to Minnesota (5-4-1) and will be back to Johnnie’s on Tuesday from 7pm to see a Monday Night game that is rather uninspiring in comparison to this week’s classic, but it has important AFC South and Wildcard implications as Houston (7-3) entertain Tennessee (5-5). We are sold out for the Thanksgiving games and feast tomorrow but as always, everyone is welcome to the other gatherings, please just call the host or myself, for catering purposes.
