2018 Season - Week 10

Two Diary dates

Thanksgiving is next Thursday (Nov 22nd) and Cheryl is planning another holiday feast. There is more information about this later in the newsletter but please let us know if you are planning to attend by Monday evening for food shopping. Before that we have Trading Day 2 this Sunday at HQ starting at 4pm. Again let me know if you are coming over, for catering purposes. Trading Day 2 So we are now just days away from Trading Day 2. If you want to trade but can’t get to HQ you can do so by email, online via the BUMS google sheet or by phone, just let me know how you are planning to cut your deadwood. If I don’t hear from you I’ll assume you are happy with your team. If you are using the Google Trading Sheet and have used it before you should be able to access it now and please make a note on it to ensure you can still edit it. Attached are the initial player salaries plus the sheet of new players who are also now available. As always we cut in worst to first order (all cuts by an owner in one go) then draft one player at a time in worst to first owner order until all rosters are full. Stampy will be selecting first as his team have suffered massively with long term injuries, DeAnthony Thomas & Ted Ginn have both been on IR since TD1. The full order is David S, Wayne, George, Dave G, Chief, Alex, Ron, AP, Aaron, Cheryl, Andy H, Mark, Marcus, Craig, Daz and Johnnie. With more and more people trading online around the globe we need to stick to the timetable, so each owner will cut their players at one minute intervals from 4pm UK time. The time slots are on the google sheet. If you are concerned about making the deadline you can forward your cuts to Chief who will make them at the allotted time if you don’t make the internet by then. Should you miss your deadline you will then cut your players at whatever point you join, but you will also drop to that position in the order for selecting your new players. If you miss the trade completely you can still cut directly with Chief before 5:50pm on Sunday and select all your replacements after all other owners who have cut players have re-filled their rosters for the trades to count for week 11. If you have advised Chief you are trading but miss the whole 2 hour trading window (4pm til 5:50pm) you will have 4 days grace and can makes changes in time for week 12 by sending your cuts and newbies to Chief by 1pm on Thursday, November 22nd when there are three Thanksgiving Day games. Remember if you cut a franchise player you have to pay him his salary until the end of the contract. Note, if you cut or sign players from this Thursday night’s game, Green Bay @ Seattle then your trade will not be actioned until week 12. From next week onwards if a player is put on IR you will be able to immediately replace him so keep an eye out for your injured player’s status online at nfl.com/transactions.
