Draftermath 2018 (Cont)
The Unwanted
Kirk Cousins (Minnesota) leads the 2018 Unwanted. There is a team of unselected players who would have scored 525 points but they would have cost you $12m. For $10m the team you didn’t pick would have scored 515 points, 5 points more than Craig’s Premiership winning score and good enough to win the Conference by 12 points last year. As well as an unwanted Kirk Cousins ($2m 105pts), you also dissed Jonathan Stewart (NY Giants $0.5m 42) and the Eagles Corey Clement ($0.5m 38) as running backs, receivers Doug Baldwin (Seattle $3m 50), Robby Anderson (NY Jets $1m 42) and one of Cameron Brate (Tampa Bay), Josh Doctson (Washington) or Paul Richardson (also Washington) who all scored 36 points for $0.5m. Kicking is Titan Ryan Succop ($0.5m 136) with Rams Head Coach Sean McVay ($2m 66pts) making the play calls. The rejected team (and the budget free rejects) are attached.
Trading DaysAs mentioned Wayne will be looking forward to Trading Day 1, which will be at HQ from 7pm on Sunday 13th October, the day before week 6’s games. That’s when he will be able to replace retired franchise RB DeMarco Murray. If you decide the team you drafted isn’t quite good enough you can make your changes on October 13. Remember, if you cut a franchise player you will have to pay him his signed salary for the rest of this season. If that doesn’t help you Trading Day 2 will be on Sunday 18th November before week 11. Hope you can make it to BUMS HQ for each of these days to trade and watch the games that follow. Please put these in your diaries now.
Paul Privitera Pick Em’s Game
It’s now year 4 of the game Paul Privitera (RIP) introduced to us. As you know it’s easy to play and doesn’t take too much research so I hope you’ll all have a go. Each week you select an NFL team that is going to win, if they win you select another team in week two, if you lose you are out. The only catch is you cannot select the same team twice, so if you fancy having a go and proving you know more than any other BUM about real football, rather than fantasy, let me know who your week 1 winner is before 11pm (BST) Thursday, if you want the Eagles or Falcons. If it’s another team you have until 5pm on Sunday (Sept 9th) Check out the week 1 schedule at http://www.nfl.com/schedules/2018/REG1
