Predicting The Big Three
Thanks to those who have already selected their three teams for Craig’s fun little game. He wants you to select who is going to win the Superbowl, who they are going to beat and who will have the first pick in the 2018 Draft. Your choices are due to me by 10pm this Thursday 28th September but don’t delay or miss out, vote now by return email!
BUMS Team of September
After only three weeks the first month of the season is in the book. The best BUMS team scored 208 points in just three weeks (an average of 69 points per week) and would have cost you just $8.5 million to buy them. The top scorers are Running Backs Todd Gurley (Rams & Wolves) and Kansas City & California rookie Kareem Hunt with 36 points each. As Aaron’s franchise man Gurley costs $1m while Wayne’s first round pick was a bargain at $0.5m. The QB is New England and Misunderstood franchise man Tom Brady (25pts for $1m). The Receivers are Stefon Diggs (Tring & Minnesota) 24 pts for $1m, Oakland & Leamington’s franchise wide-out Michael Crabtree (18pts for $0.5m) and Jordy Nelson $3m and 18pts (Perivale & Green Bay). There are two unbeaten coaches scoring 18 points each but Brockley & KC play caller Andy Reid runs our September team as he cost $1m while it cost Rhodesia $2m to sign Atlanta HC Dan Quinn. The greatest bargain is Phoenix 6th round draft pick LA Rams Greg Zuerlein who for $0.5m has scored 33 points, the same as the very first pick in the draft by The Misunderstood who paid $2m for the high scoring Atlanta kicker Matt Bryant.
Scoring Hall of Fame
AP became the first owner to enter the Marbled Halls this season when his QB Dak Prescott was flipped into the end zone with a minute left in the first half of the Monday night Game. After putting up 56 points it’s AP’s 10th visit to the Scoring Hall of Fame. Wayne became the second owner to enter the Marbled Halls this season when Carson Palmer threw his second TD pass in the 3rd quarter of the Monday Night Game. Wayne has now made the Halls 13 times.
More Injuries
Did anyone see rookie Eagle kicker Jeff Elliott boot a 61 yard field goal to beat the Giants? That was bad news for George as he must’ve been wondering where his kicker was. Caleb Sturgis was put on IR by Philadelphia after injuring his hip flexor. Alex continues to have injury woes. Not only has Andrew Luck announced he hopes to be back by week 6 but his rookie wide receiver, LA Charger Mike Williams has yet to see the field . Roll on Trading Day which is Sunday week, the 8th October at 3pm before week 5 games. That’s when we can replace the walking wounded.
BUMS on Seats
