2017 Season - Week 14

Three BUMS Weeks To Go

While Craig has passed Marcus to go top of the Premiership by 6 points, if we take the past 3 weeks scores and extrapolate those over the last three weeks of the season it’s Johnnie who will actually win the Premiership. He will finish 5 points ahead of Marcus with Craig another 5 points behind. The weekly look back/forward predictions a shake up the relegation battle with Daz climbing from 10th all the way up to 5th after his last three weeks have scored him 35, 47 and 45 points. With Mark nailed to the bottom he will now be joined by AP on 372 and George on 388 with Andy H surviving in 8th by 9 points. The promotion owners remain unchanged this week with Cheryl now expected to win the Conference with 477 points finishing 15 ahead of David S with Wayne clinching the final promotion spot on 394 points, 12 ahead of Alex. Three NFL Weeks To Go Only two teams have booked their places in the post season with just three weeks of the regular season left to play. Pittsburgh and Philadelphia both won their divisions over the weekend with 11-2 records. This weekend two more teams can win their divisions, New England and Minnesota while Jacksonville and the LA Rams can clinch a playoff berth. Carson Wentz on IR It wasn’t all good news for the Eagles who won their division with victory at the Rams but also suffered a huge loss. Their rising star signal caller suffered a season ending ACL Tear and Philadelphia placed Wentz on IR. Craig has been busy contacting HQ about dropping Wentz (who he will still be able to sign as his franchise man for 2018-19 if he so wishes) and is now looking at the best $05m QB option to replace Wentz. He has until 11pm Thursday to inform me who that is, for his new QB to be active for week 15. Remember to keep an eye out on your player’s health at nfl.com/transactions Larry Fitzgerald A huge congratulations to Larry Fitzgerald who in Sunday’s game passed Randy Moss for third on the all-time receiving yards list in NFL history. Fitz now has 15,311 yards while Moss finished his career on 15,292. This season he has also passed Isaac Bruce (15,208), Tony Gonzalez (15,127), Tim Brown (14,934), Steve Smith (14,731) and Marvin Harrison (14,580). If he plays next year he should pass Terrell Owens who is 523 yards ahead on 15,934 however it’s not going to be so easy to pass the all-time leader, Jerry Rice who tops the list with 22,895 yards, yes 22 thousand! Larry is still 7,584 yards behind the GOAT. BUMS on Seats Thursday night’s game is Denver (4-9) @ Indianapolis (3-10) and we are not meeting to watch that. The NFL has two games on Saturday the first is Chicago (4-9) at Detroit (7-6) and we will meet at HQ at 9:30pm to watch that. We will then record the overnight AFC West battle and meet at HQ at 3pm on Sunday to see the Chargers (7-6) and Chiefs (7-6) play for the division lead before the live Sky double header. At 6pm it’s Green Bay (7-6) @ Carolina (9-4), in the possible return of Aaron Rodgers then at 9pm it’s the clash at the top of the AFC as New England (10-3) travel to Pittsburgh (11-2). On Monday we will be at Johnnies from 7pm to see Dallas (7-6) @ Oakland (6-7) and back there again on Tuesday from 7pm to watch Tampa Bay (4-9) entertain Atlanta (8-5). All are welcome, just let the host know.
