2017 Season - Week 10 (Cont)
Thanksgiving Day
As first reported here, at the top of this email, next Thursday, (November 23rd) is being celebrated in America as Thanksgiving Day and as is now traditional there are three NFL games with Detroit hosting the first and Dallas the second. That first game, Minnesota (currently 7-2) @ Detroit (5-4) kicks off at 5pm, and we will watch this on catchup from 6pm, followed by the (3-6) LA Chargers @ Dallas (5-4). The third game starts at 1am but we won’t be staying up for that as it’s the truly awful (1-8) NY Giants @ Washington (4-5). Cheryl will be preparing food for around 7:30pm which should help you get to HQ from work in time. Once again please let us know if you are coming by Tuesday so we can get a big enough Turkey (or whatever it is Cheryl has decided to cook).
Mark back in Hall of Shame
One man who is looking forward to Trading Day 2 is Mark. With Oakland on a bye the Westmorland Wolverines were reliant upon one of their 5 outfield players reaching pay dirt but all were held out of the end zone and Mark becomes the first owner this year to fail to get “off the schnide” and so finds himself in the Hall of Shame. It’s the second time he has had this “honour” making the Hall previously way back in 2003. There are seven current owners have never been in the Hall of Shame. They are Andy H, Cheryl, Craig, Dave G, Daz, George and Johnnie.
BUMS on Seats
As mentioned earlier, this Thursday’s game is a good matchup with Tennessee (6-3) travelling to Pittsburgh (7-2). We are planning to meet at 5pm on Friday for Fish ‘n’ Chips ‘n’ Football to watch it, so let me know if you are coming over. After Trading Day 2, from 6pm we will see two of the best teams in the NFC face off as the LA Rams (7-2) travel to Minnesota (7-2) followed by the Raiders (4-5) hosting New England (7-2) in Mexico City. Unfortunately because of work we are not getting together on Monday to watch the possible NFC East decider as Philadelphia with the league’s best record at 8-1 travel to Dallas (5-4). With Johnnie still away on Tuesday we will be at HQ from 8pm to watch the intriguing Monday Night Football matchup as Seattle (6-3) entertains Atlanta (5-4). As always all are welcome, let the host know for catering purposes.
Please let me know how you are trading as soon as possible and if it’s online make sure you have tested the google sheet by entering a message next to your name & be ready to trade on time!! The google sheet can be found at:-
