2016 Season - Week 5
Trading Day 1 This Sunday
We are now just days away from Trading Day 1, on October 16th – 4pm @ HQ. Let me know if you will be trading by person, by phone, via email or on the internet via our Trading Day google sheet. If it’s by phone I’ll need the number you’ll be on come 4pm Sunday. If I don’t hear from you I’ll assume you are happy with your team and don’t want to change anyone. Remember if you cut a Franchise player you have to pay him for the rest of his contract so for example:- Stampy would only have a $9.5m budget for the rest of this season and next year if he cuts his injured Tight End Michael Hoomanawanui who the Saints have put on IR. Note, if you cut or sign players from this Thursday night’s game (Denver @ San Diego) then your trade will not be actioned until week 7. As always we cut in worst to first order (all cuts by an owner in one go) then draft one player at a time in worst to first owner order until all rosters are full. The full order is David S, Andy H, Dave G, Ron, Wayne, George, Alex, Daz, Mark, Marcus, Cheryl, Aaron, Johnnie, Chief, AP and finally Craig. Attached is a list of the new players who are available for signing, having scored during the first five weeks of the season, together with the player price list from the start of the season. Happy planning, is it time to get ruthless? Remember to let me know by 11pm Saturday how you intend to trade by email, phone, google docs or attending HQ. I will not be around on Sunday until about 3pm so can’t chase anyone who hasn’t got in contact. If I don’t hear from you I will assume you are totally happy with your team.
Out For A Duck?
There are still 23 players who have yet to open their accounts this year. How many are for the chop? And it doesn’t matter how high you were drafted, two first rounder’s have yet to get off the schnide, Doug Martin and Thomas Rawls, along with big name second rounders Eddie Lacy, Adrian Peterson and Julian Edelman. As well as Stampy’s Franchise man Michael Hoomanawanui, four other second year Franchise men have yet to open their accounts. Will owners cut ties with Jamaal Charles, Arian Foster, Lamar Miller or Rob Gronkowski? All will be revealed from 4pm this Sunday.
