2016 Season - Week 3
BUMS Team of September
After only three weeks the first month of the season is in the book. The best BUMS team scored 199 points in just three weeks (an average of 66 points per week) and would have cost you $9.5 million to buy them. The top scorer is kicker Dustin Hopkins (Gang Green & Washington) with 38 points for $0.5m. The QB is Aaron Rodgers $3m (Langley & Green Bay) with 33 points. An unbeaten head coach runs the team, Gary Kubiak (Rhodesia & Denver) is 3-0 and cost $1m. We have Carlos Hyde (Tring & San Francisco – 26pts, $1m) and LeGarrette Blount (Willoughby & New England – 24pts, $1m) running the ball. Jordy Nelson ($2m, Willoughby & Green Bay) leads the receivers having scored 24 points while two Mikes, Wallace (Baltimore) and Evans (Tampa Bay) have scored 18 pts each and both cost just $0.5m as they have been franchised by Brockley and Westmorland respectively.
Scoring Hall of Fame
Aaron becomes the first owner to enter the Marbled Halls this season after putting up 51 points in week three despite three members of his squad failing to score and his kicker scoring just one field goal. Aaron has now scored at least 50 points in a week, six times. Aaron’s big week moved him from 10th in the Premiership to second place, while Craig’s 48 points saw him climb from bottom of the table to fifth.
Players Hall of Fame
Thanks to those who have voted, for those that haven’t the shortlist of 13 nominees for your consideration is re-attached. Select your favourite 5 players (in order) based on 3 criteria; scoring, impact & enjoyment provided and send me your votes back by Tuesday 4th October. More Injuries
After last week’s newsletter Detroit announced they were putting Wayne’s RB Ameer Abdullah on IR and the Colts said Chief’s WR Donte Moncrief will miss 4-6 weeks with shoulder damage. Week 3 saw fewer injuries but George and Daz are still waiting for Jamaal Charles and Tyler Eifert to get onto the field this year. The Bills are not saying much about Cheryl’s WR Sammy Watkins who continues to deal with pain in his foot. Roll on Trading Day on October 16th, hope to see you then, if not before.
