2016 Season - Week 2
Players Hall of Fame
We haven’t had a Hall of Fame vote since 2013 so there are quite a few new players eligible for nomination. The list of nominees was put together via secret ballot from all BUMS present at the draft. The shortlist of 13 nominees for your consideration is attached. Please select your favourite 5 players (in order) and send me your votes back by 11pm Tuesday 4th October. Since 2002 we’ve inducted 48 players. And now it’s time to put 4 more players into the Marbled Halls based on 3 criteria; scoring, impact and enjoyment provided. The 4 highest scorers will join the selected band of BUMS Hall of Fame players that included the 2013 inductees Aaron Rodgers, Adrian Peterson, Calvin Johnson and Wes Welker. Make sure your favourite gets into the Hall – don’t delay or miss out, vote now by return email!
NFL Casualty List Grows
The pain has come thick and fast in the first two weeks of the season. After I reported Marcus’ WR Keenan Allen was placed on IR last week, it’s been a bad week for a number of Running Backs, one more so than another Charger, Danny Woodhead who was also placed on IR. With a greater concern to BUMS owners Adrian Peterson (Mark) has a torn meniscus in his right knee, Arian Foster (Cheryl) is day to day with a groin injury, Thomas Rawls (Johnnie) could miss some time according to Seattle, Jonathan Stewart (Alex) will likely be out at least a week or two with a pulled hammy and Doug Martin (Ron) will have an MRI on his hamstring pull. Seahawk receiver Doug Baldwin (Alex) has a knee injury and Todd Bowles has said of his receivers Eric Decker (Andy H) is battling through a sore shoulder but Bowles has denied Brandon Marshall (Mark) has a sprained MCL, but won’t say exactly what is wrong with his knee. With Trading Day 1 on 16th October we have three more weeks of action before we can replace the walking wounded.
