2016 Season - Week 11
Ten Games Down
Apart from Cleveland and Tennessee who have their bye week next week everyone else is about to start the final third of their season. So the day before Thanksgiving Day how is the NFL shaping up this season. New England are the class of the AFC (again) at 8-2 but Oakland have surprised with the same record. The West is the AFC’s best division with Denver and Kansas City both one game back of Oakland. Miami are 6-4 and would miss out if the season finished today while Houston lead the South at 6-4 but the North has Baltimore and Pittsburgh both tied at 5-5. The East is the best of the NFC with Dallas at a league best 9-1 followed by NY Giants at 7-3 and Washington at 6-3-1. Seattle are playing great now at 7-2-1 while Detroit and Minnesota share the lead of the North at 6-4, the same record as Atlanta who lead the South.
Favourite NFL Teams
And so with Trading Day 2 in the books who are now the most and least popular NFL teams for fantasy productivity. We dropped three Jaguars and two Broncos, Vikings and Seahawks (though another Seahawk was selected). Meantime three Saints, two Cowboys and two Titans were signed. That left us with just one Bear, one Brown and a Viking on BUMS rosters but the following day Minnesota cut Alex’s kicker Blair Walsh and so the most unpopular team are the Minnesota Vikings with no BUMS representation. Meantime the favourite team is one that is now on a four game losing streak! There are eight Green Bay Packers in the BUMS followed by seven Cowboys and seven Patriots. Meantime Atlanta, Detroit, Kansas City & New Orleans have six players each.
Cuts by draft round
Cheryl and Marcus cut franchise players, Cheryl’s second year RB Arian Foster who retired and Marcus cut Blake Bortles his first year Franchise man, so Marcus is not only paying the Jags QB his salary this year but also next year, meaning Marcus will be working with a budget of $9.5m next season. Alex cut his first rounder receiver Doug Baldwin, while Andy H released Allen Hurns his second round receiver. Johnnie cut his second round injured RB, CJ Anderson and Wayne cut another injured RB, his third rounder Ameer Abdullah. Trading Day 1 pickups weren’t safe either with Chief cutting his first round pick up Viking Tight End Kyle Rudolph and Johnnie cutting Vikes Head Coach first round pick up Mike Zimmer, while TD1 second round pick ups Eddie Royal, Rex Ryan and Hunter Henry were cut by Cheryl, Andy H and Marcus respectively.
