2015 Season - Week 4

Trading Day 1 Next Sunday

We are now just 11 days away from Trading Day 1, on October 18th – 4pm @ HQ. Let me know if you will be trading by person, by phone, via email or on the internet via google docs. If it’s by phone I’ll need the number you’ll be on come 4pm Sunday. If I don’t hear from you I’ll assume you are happy with your team and don’t want to change anyone. It’s a great chance to not only get rid of the injured but also those underperforming players. After 4 weeks 29 players have still to get “off the schnide”. Incredibly 2 first round draft pics and 10 franchise players have yet to trouble the scoreboard! Remember if you cut a franchise player you will need to keep paying him his 2015 salary and if he’s a first year franchise man his salary will count against your cap again next year as well. Bad BUMS Week Looks like we could all do with Trading Day arriving sooner rather than later. After an impressive combined score of 473 points last week, this week we only managed 270. That’s an average of just 16.88 points per owner the third worst average in our 21 year history. The lowest average ever was in week 3 of 1998 when 13 owners scored 206 points for an average of 15.85. The second worst was a 16.786 average in 1999. First Headman Down It didn’t take long for the first Head Coach of the season to be fired. Joe Philbin was booted by Miami after a 1-3 start, many had predicted a play-off spot for the Dolphins this season but the poor performances against divisional rivals Buffalo and NY Jets in back-to-back weeks was too much for owner Stephen Ross. Losing in London is proving to be fatal for coaches as last year after the Raiders lost to (ironically) the Dolphins, Dennis Allen the Oakland head coach was fired on the plane home. Now one day after touching back down in Miami Philbin is gone, to be replaced for the rest of the season by Miami’s Tight End coach Dan Campbell. I’m guessing Aaron will be picking up a new Head Coach on TD1, he signed Philbin and won’t get any points from Campbell. BUMS on Seats The Thursday game on Sky is Indianapolis @ Houston but we are not going to be meeting for that one. Due to work Johnnie is hosting on Sunday at 6pm to see New Orleans @ Philadelphia followed by New England travelling to Dallas. We will be at HQ on Monday from 4.30pm to see the 49ers @ the Giants on Sunday Night Football and then at Johnnie’s on Tuesday at 6:30pm to see Monday Night Football as San Diego host Pittsburgh. As always all are welcome just shout if you want in, for catering purposes.
