2015 Season - Week 19

And then there were four

How amazing was the end of the Arizona/Green Bay game. Down by seven with 55 seconds left and facing 4th and 20 Aaron Rodgers completed TWO Hail Mary’s to Jeff Janis (who?), the first 60 yards to the Arizona 36 yard line, the second for a TD as time expired. Then on the first play of overtime Carson Palmer dodged 3 potential sacks and threw across the field to Larry Fitzgerald who then took the ball for 75 yards weaving through flailing Packers defenders, before being tackled at the 5 yard line. Two plays later he took a shovel pass to pay-dirt and the Cardinals to the NFL Championship game for just the second time in the franchise’s long history. In the other NFC game Carolina took and incredible 24 point lead in 18 minutes and led 31-0 at half-time before Seattle’s second half comeback fell a TD short. In the AFC New England handled Kansas City comfortably 27-20 behind an air attack which saw 42 passes to just 14 runs, while Denver and Pittsburgh wasn’t decided until the Steeler’s third string RB Fitzgerald Toussaint fumbled on his own 35 yard line while leading 13-12 in the 4th quarter. The Broncos took the lead on the ensuing drive when CJ Anderson plunged over from the one with three minutes remaining. So it’s the top two seeds in each conference final after all four home teams won. All-BUMS Voting Don’t forget to vote for your favourite players of 2015.
