2015 Season - Week 15
A Fortnight Left
After leading since week 8 Chief has been knocked from the top spot by Ron after Gang Green put up 41 points and took a five point lead. Ron wasn’t the only high scorer, Cheryl has moved into the promotion zone in the Conference after scoring 42, John had his best week of the year with 44 and has now moved past his target of 241 without a kicker all year long. The highest scorer was Aaron who came within three points of a Hall of Fame week after Matt Prater missed a 38 yard field goal with nine seconds remaining. While Aaron missed 50 points he did move from the relegation zone to 7th place. However only 11 points separate Mark in sixth to Daz in the final drop spot so with two weeks to go we’re set for a very exciting finish. Taking the last two weeks scores and adding them to the current totals and Ron with 544 points, should win his first Papas Fritas Trophy by 22 points from Chief with Marcus finishing third 20 further points behind. Daz and Mark will be tied in the final drop spot on 408 with Craig safe by just three points and H (on pace to win two weeks ago) safe by just 19 points after two very poor weeks. Cheryl will finish 38 points ahead of David S in the battle for the final promotion place and will join Wayne (533) and Dave G (526) in replacing AP, George and either Daz or Mark.
More Injuries
Before week 13 H lost Justin Forsett and replaced him with Seattle rookie Thomas Rawls but just two weeks later Rawls was put on IR to be replaced by Brandon Bolden of New England. Daz also picked up a running back last week, Redskin rookie Matt Jones as New England placed LeGarrette Blount on IR. Remember you have until 11pm Thursday to replace any player who is placed on Injured Reserve in your line-up for week 16, so keep your eye on the injury reports.
Botten Bowing Out In Style
John’s 44 points were his highest score of the year and the same total he managed over the first four weeks of the season combined! He is now on target to score 287 points, the 9th worst total ever, without having a kicker all year long. I have already highlighted his BUMSBowl success previously but with just two weeks left in his 20 year BUMS career did you know that the Bargaineers had four Hall of Fame weeks, scoring 53 points in 2008, 59 in 2006, 61 in 2005 and the third highest weekly score ever (67 points) in 2002. John won the Conference twice in 2005 and 2008 (only Daz has won it as many times) and John was also the Conference runner-up in 2003.
