2015 Season - Week 12
Triplets Round 1 Results and Tourney Tree
Thanks to the 10 BUMS who provided their winners from round 1 of the 2015 NFL Triplets tournament. Two teams swept their matches New Orleans over San Francisco and Pittsburgh v Cleveland. Two upsets occurred Arizona (6) defeated Atlanta (3) and Oakland (6) beat Kansas City (3). One game tied so the tiebreaker is the higher seed goes through. The seeding was based on the rankings the NFL Triplets feature had, a few weeks after the NFL draft. I have then split the 32 teams into four groups combining two divisions in each conference. The four group winners will go to the semi-finals with the AFC and NFC champions playing in the Triplets Bowl. See the Tournament Tree (Triplets 2015) for all results and the Round 2 match ups (TripletsR2) attached and send me your winners of the eight games by 11pm next Monday please. Even if you missed out on Round 1 you can still vote on your Round 2 favourites.
BUMS Team of November
Weeks 8 to 12 provided us with five weeks of scores for the BUMS team of November. This team scored 293 points with three franchise players in it and cost $9.5 million. To put this in perspective the highest Premiership team in November was Gang Green with 166 points while in the Conference the California Dreams scored a month’s best 171. Head Coach of the month is Ron Rivera (Gang Green & Carolina) scoring 30 points for just $0.5m. Langley & Carolina kicker Graham Gano scored 62 points for $0.5m while November’s QB scored 51pts at a cost of $1m playing for Rhodesia & Carolina. Is it any wonder the Panthers are unbeaten! Adrian Peterson (Karori & Minnesota) high scored at RB with 30 points for $3m with Chief’s $0.5m franchise man Lamar Miller (Miami) joining him after scoring 24 pts. Aaron’s rookie St Louis RB Todd Gurley also scored 24pts but he cost $1m. At receiver TE Tyler Eifert (Fire Warriors & Bengals) was the highest scorer on 36 points for his half a million dollar fee, and is joined in the team by franchise players Brandin Cooks (Bargaineers & Saints) for $0.5m and Brandon Marshall (Pirates & Jets) for $2m who both scored 30pts. Giant Odell Beckham Jnr. also scored five TDs in November but he cost Wayne $3m.
H’s new player
After being placed on IR by Baltimore H has cut his first year franchise man RB Justin Forsett (who he will still pay $0.5m next season) and replaced him with Seattle rookie Thomas Rawls. Seattle have placed Jimmy Graham on IR so George can select a new receiver.
