2014 Season - Week 8

20th Anniversary - Team Cheryl and Team Daz

Attached is the announcement of anniversary teams number 11 and 12. Personally I was surprised Cheryl left out Eddie Kennison her trading day pick up that powered her to the second BUMS crown way back in 1996 scoring seven TDs in seven weeks. She did select another receiving star from that team TE Wesley Walls. Pete Carroll coaches her team led by Big Ben at QB, Jerome “The Bus” Betts and “Fast” Willie Parker at RBs with Martin “Automatica” Gramatica kicking. Dallas Clark and Torry Holt join Walls in the receiving crew. She did leave out Brett Favre, Steve Young and Warren Moon at QB, RBs Adrian Peterson, Curtis Martin, Clinton Portis, LaDainian Tomlinson, Mike Alstott and Marshall Faulk receivers Antonio Gates, Andre Johnson, Cris Carter, Calvin & Chad Johnson, Isaac Bruce, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne and Tim Brown. Daz reports it “broke his heart” to leave out former Redskin receiver Michael Westbrook. He’s gone with HC Tony Dungy, K Stephen Gostkowski, QB Tom Brady, RBs Jerome Bettis and Shaun Alexander and receivers Wes Welker, Jeremy Shockey and Ben Coates. Skill players he left out include QBs Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning, RBs Corey Dillon, Curtis Martin, Clinton Portis, Jamal Lewis, Ray Rice and Thurman Thomas and receivers Herman Moore, Hines Ward, Joe Horn and Keyshawn Johnson. Dave G and John, can I have your teams this week please. Trading Day 2 - November 9th We are now 11 days away from Trading Day 2 which is at HQ at 3pm, Sunday week, November 9th before the week 10 games. With six teams (Atlanta, Buffalo, Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay and Tennessee) on byes this weekend it’s time to start planning your changes. After TD2 the only chance you get to change a player will be if he is placed on full IR. Let me know if you will be trading by person, by phone, via email or on the internet via google docs. If I don’t hear from you I’ll assume you are happy with your team and don’t want to change anyone. Remember if you cut a Franchise player you have to pay him for the rest of his contract (eg Wayne has only $9m budget for the rest of the season after he cut oft-injured QB RG3 on TD1). Note, if you cut or sign players from NEXT Thursday night’s game (Cleveland @ Cincinnati) then your trade will not be actioned until week 11. BUMS on Seats On Thursday Night Football it’s a top of the NFC South clash as New Orleans visit Carolina on Sky. We are at HQ at 6pm on Sunday to see Arizona @ Dallas in a top of the NFC matchup followed by two more division leaders facing off as New England entertain Denver. With Chief still recovering from his surgery we will be back at HQ at 4pm on Monday to see a key AFC North clash as Baltimore travel to Pittsburgh from Sunday Night and we will be meeting at Johnnie’s on Tuesday to see Monday Night Football as the Indianapolis Colts face the New York Giants. As always all are welcome.
