2014 Season - Week 4 (Cont)

Hall of Fame

Congrats to Ron who entered the Marbled Halls for the third time as he extended his lead at the top of the Premiership behind 14 pts from kicker Phil Dawson and 12 each from QB Andrew Luck and receiver “Touchdown” Terrance Williams. Ron also made the hall in 20111 and 2013. Hall of Shame Remember to check the schedule when you draft your BUMS players, that’s the memo to Aaron. This week Aaron (who saw his kicker cut 30 minutes after the BUMS draft) had his franchise RB Marshawn Lynch on a bye along with his pass catch combo Andy Dalton & AJ Green plus Denver receiver Emmanuel Sanders. When Carolina lost at Baltimore that meant he only had Matt Forte and Charger receiver Keenan Allen left to get him off the schnide. Forte played well rushing 23 times for 122 yards and catching 5 balls for 49 more but he never made the end zone so it all came down to Allen who looked terrific in San Diego’s third win of the season snagging 10 balls for 135 yards but again he was denied the end zone. As a result Aaron entered the Hall of Shame for the second time and remains rooted to the bottom of the Premiership. Wayne almost joined Aaron in the Hall of Shame, finally getting off the schnide with just 7 minutes left in the week when Rob Gronkowski muscled his way into the end zone in the Patriots Monday Night shellacking at the hands of Kansas City. BUMS Team of September That’s the first month in the book and the September’s team scored 255 points for a total of $8.5 million –nice work if you can get it. Andrew Luck $1m (Gang Green & Indianapolis) leads the September team with 45 points. Kicking is Nick Novak (Brockley & San Diego) with 40 points for $1m, the same as Adam Vinatieri (Karori & Indianapolis) but Adam costs $2m. Two unbeaten head coaches run the team despite having byes last week:- Bruce Arians (Weymouth & Arizona) and Marvin Lewis (Misunderstood & Cincinnati) are both 3-0 and cost their owners $0.5m. Also on three wins but with one loss and costing $1m are Chip Kelly (California & Philadelphia), John Harbaugh (Gang Green & Baltimore) and Mike McCoy (Langley & San Diego). We have DeMarco Murray (Sofa & Dallas) and Marshawn Lynch (Willoughby & Seattle) running the ball, both franchised for $1m & $2m respectively and both scoring 30 points (note Lynch has also had a bye week). Starting receivers are Randall Cobb (Phoenix & Green Bay - 32, $0.5m) and Antonio Brown (Leamington & Pittsburgh - 30, $0.5m). You have a choice for your third receiver as they both cost Andy H $2m and have scored 30 points. Is it to be Brandon Marshall (Perivale & Chicago) or Julius Thomas (Perivale and Denver).
