2014 Season - Week 11 (Cont)
20th Anniversary - Team John and Team Marcus (Cont)
Marcus has selected just Peyton Manning from his record setting team of last year when his squad put up 672 points. He’s delved back in time to come up with some classic old names including three who were on his 2001 winning squad, John Gruden, Warrick Dunn and Tim Brown. Sticking to his favourite college and NFL teams he also selected fullback Zack Crockett who played for both the Florida State Seminoles and the Oakland Raiders. To see the other classic names he selected see the attachment. Skill players he left out include Antonio Freeman, Andre Johnson, Dallas Clark, Jerry Rice, Larry Fitzgerald, Percy Harvin, Randy Moss, Shannon Sharpe, Tony Gonzalez and Torry Holt at Receiver, Running Backs Corey Dillon, Clinton Portis, Fred Taylor, Jamaal Charles, Mo Jones-Drew, Robert Smith and Terrell Davis plus QBs Donovan McNabb, Kurt Warner, Steve McNair and Tom Brady. Next week should see the reveal of the final teams, Chiefs is ready to go, so we are just waiting for Dave G to supply his.
NFL Playoff Picture
Incredibly before week 12 of the season one team already knows their playoff fate, as by losing to San Diego the win-less (but still Mighty) Oakland Raiders are the first team to be eliminated from postseason contention. In the AFC North a 6-4 record gets Cincinnati and Baltimore the bottom spots while in the NFC South a 4-6 record is enough for Atlanta and New Orleans to share the top spot.
BUMS Championship Chase
It’s a bit of an upside down situation at present in the NFL, unlike in the BUMS where Johnnie has now got a kicker (after getting just 8 points in 9 weeks from that position) and is now 53 points clear at the top of the Premiership as he seeks his record setting fourth Papas Fritas title. Meantime Aaron keeps his charge up, going from bottom to third in seven weeks. At the bottom just 22 points covers Chief in sixth to Daz in 10th and as Wayne gets his players back healthy can he make a run to safety. In the Conference there is just 11 points between George and David S in the battle for the third spot but no places are assured yet and with six weeks left everyone has something to play for.
