2014 Season - Week 11
Most Popular/Unpopular teams
As we continue to analyse Trading Day 2, Baltimore, Miami and Pittsburgh were the most popular team with a 2 players increase. Miami has two players added (Aaron signed coach Joe Philbin and Johnnie got kicker Caleb Sturgis). Baltimore and Pittsburgh saw three players signed but one cut as well. For the Ravens Aaron signed Torrey Smith, H signed Justin Forsett and John got Lorenzo Taliaferro while H cut Joe Flacco. For Pittsburgh H cut LeGarrette Blount while signing Ben Roethlisberger plus Markus Wheaton and Mark chose Martavius Bryant. Phili and St Louis lost two players apiece but two Giants were signed so all NFL teams are now represented on BUMS rosters with Buffalo, Oakland, St Louis, Tampa Bay and Tennessee all sneaking in with one a piece while the most rostered team is Denver with eight players. New Orleans & Pittsburgh now have seven players each on BUMS rosters.
Sick List
It’s not just Chief who has needed surgery lately as five BUMS players have been put on IR so far resulting in owners needing to sign new replacements. Two have done that so far this week, Chief who lost Carson Palmer three quarters after signing him on Trading Day 2 played QB-less in week 11 but has announced Langley Raptors have reached a deal to pay Tony Romo $2m for the rest of the season. Cheryl lost Atlanta RB Antone Smith (another TD2 pick-up) this past weekend and Rhodesia Rams have signed $0.5m Jaguar Denard Robinson as his replacement. Daz has seen Colt rusher Ahmad Bradshaw placed on IR while John’s rookie receiver Brandin Cooks was placed on IR yesterday by New Orleans. Both Daz and John can sign any player available who is on the original player list or on the Trading Day 2 Additions list. As mentioned last week Dave G can sign a replacement for Miami rusher Knowshon Moreno and has up to $2m to spend. Any player cut due to IR remains the property of the BUMS owner cutting them and so can be signed as a franchise man by that team for 2015-16. You need to get your replacements to me by 11pm on Thursday for them to count as active in the week 12 games which kick off early Friday morning.
20th Anniversary - Team John and Team Marcus
We turn our attention back to the 20th Anniversary team, as attached is the announcement of teams number 13 and 14. Firstly I’d like to point out John has selected as his QB the only London Monarch to make the grade, Brad Johnson. He only selected two players from the Bargaineers Papas Fritas Championship team of 2007, when his half a million dollar wonders shocked the world, RB Marion Barber and receiver Nate Burleson. Some players John left out include QBs Ben Roethlisberger and Russell Wilson, RBs Dorsey Levens, Eddie George, Emmitt Smith and Jamal Lewis plus Receivers Andre Reed, Amani Toomer, Hines Ward, Joey Galloway, Keyshawn Johnson, Marvin Harrison and Vernon Davis.
