2013 Season - Week 8

Fame Again

Marcus entered the Scoring Hall of Fame for the second time this year and fourth time overall as he strengthens his push for promotion. He is now 115 points above the promotion line riding on the back of his first round draft pick Peyton Manning who is now on 93 points, 30 ahead of second best quarterback Drew Brees and on target to smash Tom Brady’s season record of 162. Mid Season Review Daz continues to lead the league in his push for back to back Premiership titles but Ron has scored 95 points in the past two weeks and has moved from fifth to second and is now just 16 points behind Daz. At the bottom of the Premiership all three owners who were in the drop zone before Trading Day 1 have scored very well with Wayne climbing from ninth to seventh, George from tenth to ninth and AP (while remaining bottom) was 56 points from safety but he is now just 20. Meantime H has dropped from seventh to tenth. Mark is currently only safe by nine points. In the Conference Marcus has now totalled 329 points and is on target to beat H’s record of 670 points set in 2007 by a whopping 29 points. Craig remains safely in second place while Dave G and John are having a great battle for the third promotion spot. Things have got better for David S after he scored only 27 points through 5 weeks. In the past three weeks he has scored 61 as he tries to avoid AP’s all-time season low of 241 from 1998. However he still has a way to go as 88 points over 8 weeks extrapolates to a season total of 187. The Hurt Lockers There were a lot of big injuries in week 7 with a number of players being put on IR including Rams starting quarterback Sam Bradford but he isn’t on a BUMS roster. Reggie Wayne is and so Mark will be looking forward to Trading Day 2 on November 17 at 4pm at HQ before the week 11 games. Other players who suffered serious injuries included H’s Franchise Running Back Doug Martin. Jay Cutler and Jermichael Finley were also injured. Daz’s receiver Sidney Rice was lost for the season after suffering an ACL injury in this week’s Monday Night game and Tampa Bay have put wideout Mike Williams on IR as he failed to overcome his hamstring injury. Daz and Dave G will also be looking forward to November 17 and Trading Day 2. NFL Trading Deadline The NFL’s trading deadline was Tuesday and it passed with no major moves despite speculation that Jared Allen, Larry Fitzgerald, Josh Gordon and Hakeem Nicks were all up for grabs.
