2013 Season - Week 5

No-Shows Roll Call

After five weeks 18 players still have to get off the schnide. 11 owners are still wondering what’s happened to their guys, so here’s the story. Two players have yet to suit up due to injury, Andre Brown (Giants & Pirates) and Chief’s franchise tight end Rob Gronkowski. Two other players have been inactive every game as they have dropped down their depth charts:- Mikel Leshoure (Detroit & Misunderstood) and Evan Royster (Washington & Aeotearoa). Fellow Aeotearoa (& Packer) John Kuhn has had a bye week and missed time with an injury and has totalled 1 carry for 3 yards. Shonn Greene (Tennessee & Misunderstood) is also injured. He has 4 touches for 18 yards. Michael Floyd had six catches for 149 yards for San Diego & Brockley before his injury and in week 1 Patriot & Rhodesia’s Shane Vereen rushed 21 times for 159 yards before being lost for two months. George’s rookie Markus Wheaton finally showed up in Pittsburgh’s last game snagging three balls for 26 yards. The other 9 players have all seen plenty of action but just haven’t found pay-dirt yet. Roddy White (Atlanta & Westmorland) 14 catches 129 yards Greg Little (Cleveland & Aeotearoa) 14 catches 149 yards Danny Amendola (New England & Rhodesia) 14 catches 159 yards Chris Givens (St Louis & Tring) 16 catches 247 yards Vincent Jackson (Tampa Bay & Brockley) 17 catches 292 yards Mohamed Sanu (Cincinnati & Weymouth) 19 catches 178 yards Hakeem Nicks (NY Giants & California) 21 catches 159 yards Andre Johnson (Houston & Willoughby) 37 catches 407 yards Stevan Ridley (New England & Tring) 50 touches 208 yards Remember Trading Day 1 is at 3pm at HQ on Sunday October 20th, prior to the week 7 games so a lot of players will have to prove themselves this weekend if they don’t want to be cut. Prolific Peyton Peyton Manning set an NFL record to start a season with 16 TD passes though the four weeks of September. He followed that up with 414 yards passing for 4 TDs and also ran in a bootleg for a TD against Dallas. He has now scored 66 points in just 5 weeks, that’s 15 more than Jacksonville, 22 more than Tampa Bay and 39 more than Aeotearoa! He is on pace for 211 points, the highest QB year was in 2007 when Tom Brady threw 50TDs and ran for two more for a total of 162. In 2006 LaDainian Tomlinson set the BUMS single season scoring record with 192 points. BUMS on Seats The Thursday game on Sky is NY Giants @ Chicago.
