2013 Season - Week 3
Browns Re-Building, Colts Superbowl Dreaming
Last week the new regime in Cleveland started to re-write Mike Holmgren’s previous plan by shocking the NFL world, trading last year’s number three pick in the draft Running Back Trent Richardson to Indianapolis for the Colts first round pick next year. Are the Colts now a Superbowl contender? It’s not good for David Stamp who based his Maori Bro’s on the Cleveland and Washington franchises. The view is the new staff aren’t sold on QB Brandon Weedon either so David’s QB may be riding the pine for some time.
NFL Casualty Ward 2
Weedon sat out the week 3 game injured but the new starter Brian Hoyer lead a final minute drive to defeat Minnesota. Dave’s kicker (Redskin Kai Forbath) has been out injured since week one, his ‘Skin RB Evan Royster has yet to play in a game this year and Franchise back John Kuhn missed this week’s Green Bay game as well. Yes Aotearoa were missing half their entire team this week as was Rhodesia (Cheryl also had four of her players inactive). In week one she lost both her Patriots, receiver Danny Amendola and RB Shane Vereen for a couple of months, but in week 2 her second RB Atlanta’s Steven Jackson left the game with a thigh injury and is reportedly out 2-4 weeks and finally 49er Vernon Davis was ruled inactive. Also out this week were H’s RB Andre Brown whose broken leg is expected to keep him out 6-7 weeks, while Chief’s Franchise man Rob Gronkowski has still yet to play this season. Running Backs Eddie Lacy (AP) and Ray Rice (Daz) didn’t suit up and George’s wideout Malcolm Floyd of San Diego and RB Reggie Bush (Detroit) also missed week three. With Trading Day 1 not until October 20th owners will hope some of these injuries don’t linger.
