2013 Season - Week 19

And then there were four

The divisional games were a little disappointing this year as each of the winners did so comfortably. At home Seattle shut down the New Orleans air attack and were up 23-8 before the Saints got a late consolation score. New England thumped Indianapolis 43-22 and Denver were 24-7 up against San Diego until 10 late points almost made it interesting. As with the BUMS there was only one upset in the NFL as San Francisco dominated Carolina in the second half to win 23-10. So it’s Peyton v Tom again as Denver play New England while it’s an NFC West showdown as San Francisco try to make it back-to-back Superbowl’s with Seattle standing in their way. Teams of December December comprised of the final five weekends of the season and unsurprisingly the highest scoring BUMS team was the Phoenix Fire Warriors as Marcus set the highest ever season total. In the five weeks of December he scored 259 points including a record four consecutive Scoring Hall of Fame weeks. Cheryl was the second highest at 215, while the Papas Fritas winner Chief was third at 204. However there is a BUMS team that would have scored 339 points but would have cost you $11million. Head Coach is Jim Harbaugh (Gang Green & San Fran) who went unbeaten, scoring 30pts at Ron’s franchise price of $0.5m. Champion Kicker Adam Vinatieri (Langley & Indianapolis) scored 54pts for just $0.5m while record setting QB Peyton Manning (Phoenix & Denver) scored 57pts in five games at $3m. The RBs are Jamaal Charles (Phoenix & Kansas City) 54pts $2m and DeMarco Murray (Sofa & Dallas) 36pts $1m and receivers Eric Decker 48pts $0.5m (Rhodesia & Denver) and Jimmy Graham (Phoenix & New Orleans) 30pts for Marcus’ franchise price of $0.5m plus either Dez Bryant (Langley & Dallas) or AJ Green (Willoughby & Cincinnati) who both scored 30pts but cost $3m each. BUMS on Seats On Sunday we will be at BUMS HQ at 8pm to watch the AFC Championship game live as Denver host New England and then we will be at Johnnies on Monday from 6pm to see San Francisco travel to Seattle.
