2013 Season - Week 16

Hall of Fame Again and Again and Again

Marcus made the Scoring Hall of Fame again this week extending his record consecutive 50+ weeks to four and he now has the third highest season total of all-time. Congratulations to him and a huge congratulations to the man who is fuelling his record pace, QB Peyton Manning who passed Tom Brady’s record for most TD passes thrown in a season, Peyton now has 51. A Week To Go Adding week 16’s scoring to the current totals confirms Marcus will break Andy H’s season total record of 670. Craig is also clearly going up and the prediction has John just hanging on in a nailbiter over Dave G by just three points to secure the third promotion place. George is going down but the battle to stay up is predicted to have a surprise survivor as AP, 41 points from safety just two weeks ago, is now on course to finish above Andy H and Mark and sending both former champions down. A Week To Go Congrats to the four AFC teams who have locked up their divisions and are now fighting for seedings this weekend. They currently rank 1- Denver (12-3), 2- New England (11-4), 3- Cincinnati (10-5) and 4- Indianapolis (10-5), with Kansas City also in at 11-4. Four teams are in the hunt for the final spot Miami, Baltimore, San Diego (all 8-7) and Pittsburgh (7-8). It’s more complicated in the NFC, where three teams have clinched play-off places but no divisions have been won. Seattle (12-3) and San Francisco (11-4) head the NFC West and Carolina lead the NFC South and are in at 11-4. They have a one game lead over New Orleans who at 10-5 are tied with Arizona for the final wildcard spot. That leaves two games which will decide the other two divisions and the third and fourth seeds, Philadelphia @ Dallas for the East and Green Bay @ Chicago for the North. Injuries It may be Christmas but BUMS and NFL front offices continue to work. Two more BUMS players have been put on IR. Redskin Tight End Jordan Reed was signed by Dave G as an IR replacement two weeks ago but he never played a down for him and has now been placed on IR. Dave you have until 3pm on Sunday to advise Chief of your new man. Meanwhile Chief lost his RB Ben Tate to IR last week and replaced him by Cardinal RB Rashard Mendenhall who came through with a 2-point conversion on Sunday. You can still sign any player you cut for injury reasons as your Franchise Man for next year. Remember to look out for the health of your players and email Chief if one is put on IR. New players to me by 3pm Sunday please as the final week of the regular season starts with eight games at 6pm on Sunday. BUMS on Seats We’ll be at HQ on Sunday from 6pm to see the two live Sky games - Baltimore (8-7) @ Cincinnati (10-5) and the NFC North decider, Green Bay (7-7-1) @ Chicago (8-7). We will then be at H’s to see the final game of the regular season, Sunday Night’s NFC East deciding Philadelphia (9-6) @ Dallas (8-7). Meantime I hope you have a great Xmas and may I wish you all A Happy New Year.
