2013 Season - Week 13

BUMS Team of November

Weeks nine to twelve provided us with the scores for the BUMS team of November. This team scored 211 points but with three franchise players in it, cost just $6 million. To put this in perspective the highest Premiership team in November was Willoughby Wolves with 137 points while in the Conference the Leamington Spartans closed the gap at the top scoring a months best 139. There are lots of new faces making the team of the month. November’s QB is Aaron’s franchise man Cam Newton (Willoughby & Carolina) who scored 27 points at a cost of $0.5m. (Drew Brees also scored 27 but he cost Dave G $3m). Despite being on a pace for the lowest score ever David S’s head coach Mike Tomlin (Aotearoa & Pittsburgh) got three wins. Also costing $1m and scoring 18 points was Sean Payton (Westmorland & New Orleans) while Pete Carroll also scored 18 but he cost Cheryl $2m. Shaun Suisham (Weymouth & Pittsburgh) was indeed a bargain as he kicked 40 points for just $0.5m. Adrian Peterson (Langley & Minnesota) is the only player to start in the November team who was also a highest scorer in a previous month (September). Gareth’s franchise man scored 24 points at a cost of $1m and starts in the backfield with Chris Johnson (California & Tennessee) who has the same stats. Marshawn Lynch also scored 4 TDs but he cost Aaron $2m. Aaron does have the highest scoring Receiver as Andre Johnson (Willoughby & Houston) scored 30 points at a cost of $1m. Craig see’s two of his three receivers also start, both Antonio Brown (Leamington & Pittsburgh) and Tavon Austin (Leamington & St Louis) cost $0.5m and scored 24 points. Two other receiver’s scored 4 TDs but cost more, Demaryius Thomas cost Johnnie $1m and Brandon Marshall cost Andy H $2m. Super Duper Coopers For only the second time ever three owners made the scoring Hall of Fame in the same week. In week 11 of 2005 Andy H (62), Mark (59) and Johnnie (57) all made it. This weekend Chief equalled his highest ever score (61) and entered the Marbled Halls for a record 14th time, Cheryl also scored (61), her third highest and seventh visit and Marcus (58, equalling his highest week this year) and his fifth time (third this year). As Sly & the Family Stone sang, “It’s A Family Affair” with Aaron the fifth highest scorer the Coopers have lead the way as the BUMS averaged 31 points per owner the 17th highest average ever in the BUMS 319 week history.
