2012 Season - Week 9

BUMS Infirmary

Trading Day 2 (18th Nov 3pm) can’t come soon enough for some BUMS owners as injuries strike down many players. In the Conference George is leading despite playing with both arms tied behind his back, Rashard Mendenhall has only played in weeks 5 & 6 so far and Pierre Garcon has only played in weeks 1, 4 & 5. David Stamp is second although his Franchise RB John Kuhn has missed the last two games for the Packers. Andy H isn’t faring so well as he dropped out of the promotion zone as he battles on without a running game. Maurice Jones-Drew will miss Thursday’s game against Indi and hasn’t played since his second carry in week 7 while Darren Sproles missed week 9 with reports that his broken hand could keep him out for another one to five weeks. Marcus is in the drop zone after his Trading Day 1 pick-up Brandon Bolden hasn’t played or practiced since his six carries in week 6. Meantime Chief also lost RB DeMarco Murray in week 6 and Ron has seen his tight end Aaron Hernandez miss four of the last six weeks though he is back at practice now. Remember Trading Day 2 is next Sunday before the week 11 games so let me know if you intend to visit HQ or email me how you want to make your changes. If I don’t hear from you I will assume you are very happy with how your team is progressing. Half Term Report Two BUMS show they know what they are talking about but did Marcus really expect Atlanta to be unbeaten after 8 weeks when he chose their Head Coach, Mike Smith and did Ron really expect rookie QB Andrew Luck to lead the Colts to a 5-3 record. If the playoffs started now the Colts would be a wildcard team along with Pittsburgh (5-3) while the division winners would be Houston (7-1), Baltimore (6-2), New England (5-3) and Denver (5-3). In the NFC Chicago (7-1), San Francisco (6-2) and NY Giants (6-3) are chasing Atlanta (8-0) as the divisional winners with Green Bay (6-3) and Seattle (5-4) would be the wildcards. BUMS on Seats However Trading Day is next week, this week we will be at HQ from 6pm on Sunday to see Sky’s doubleheader of Atlanta @ New Orleans followed by the NFC East must win game for Philadelphia and Dallas.
