2012 Season - Week 6

Trading Day 1

Only 25 players were traded away on Sunday as nine owners got serious with underperforming NFL players. None of the top seven scoring owners made a change, some may now be regretting the “if ain’t broke don’t fix it” approach, AP and Chief only scored 6 and 12 points respectively. Some trades won’t take effect until next week as the players cut or signed had already played on Thursday night Football so we knew their week 6 scores. Craig cut two Titans (Munchak and Locker) and so the Colts coach and Minnesota QB will start for him next week. Marcus cut Titan kicker Bironas but got his 14 points from Thursday, Greg Zuerlein starts for him this week. John cut Nate Washington, Jet Jason Kerley replaces him from week 7. Meanwhile Mark picked up Heath Miller who played on Thursday for Pittsburgh so he got to keep cut Receiver DeSean Jackson for week 6. Trading Day - What’s the point of that then? Because Johnnie drafted 3 new Bargaineers so John got a Kerley Brown Bush, brilliant. It’s always silly to judge owners trading success the day after the trade (yes Johnnie, you keep saying it’s a marathon not a sprint, I agree) but it’s fun to take a little peek into who made the right move. That was Cheryl who saw a seven point improvement as her new kicker Justin Tucker kicked a field goal and went four for four on PATs while her former kicker Nate Kaeding remains injured. Wayne was plus six, Aaron plus five and Craig plus four. Meantime H and Mark suffered the trading day curse both finishing the week minus 12. H cut receiver Dez Bryant who went on to score two TDs for Dallas while he picked up Patriot Julian Edelman who was inactive for the game- oops. Mark cut 4 players although as already mentioned one trade won’t count until next week. None of his newbies scored while former franchise man LeGarrette Blount and Raider Darren McFadden both found paydirt. More trading day analysis next week. Daz Hall of Fame 2012.2 After he racked up 50 points in week 1, Daz saw his two Packers explode on Monday night football this week, combining for 30 points as Aaron Rodgers threw six TDs, two of them to James Jones. Add this to the 29 points four of his other players had already scored and Daz totaled 59 points this week, even though Marques Colston and Lance Moore were on a bye week! It’s his seventh visit to the Marbled Halls but not his highest score, he totaled 64 points ten years ago.
