2012 Season - Week 3
Not the usual newsletter this week as I'm so frustrated and annoyed at the way the league are treating the fans. To be honest the leagues reaction to the end of the Monday Night Game is even worse than the decision itself. If you don't know what I'm talking about google Seattle v Green Bay hail mary. "The worst call ever" meant Seattle won and Green Bay lost. And it's not a one-off just the worst and most catastophic so far. As Joe Flacco and Ray Lewis stated last week, it's effecting the integrity of the game. These replacement refs aren't good enough, it's not their fault, they are doing there best but they are High School PE teachers put in an impossible position by the league. It would be like asking the BUMS to play in the Capital Cup, we'd give it a go but we'd loose by a record score to Burton Albion. It's the league (and team owners) refusal to acknowledge there is a major problem which is even worse. In a business worth so much why leave the game deciding decisions to amateurs. The owners are arrogant and being very hypocritical in their desire to protect players health when allowing the games to spiral out of control as players and coaches don't respect the officials. They see their jobs on the line as the refs make bad calls or don't even understand some of the rules. Yesterday Jerry Jones said he hadn't seen the play, that's no excuse, you should be very aware of the national furore going on and be across every issue that your lockout of the referee's is causing. The chat shows have been all over this yesterday as you'd expect but a senator in New Jersey is calling for a law to not allow NFL games to be played in his state (Jets and Giants) under the supervision of replacement refs as he fears for the safety of the fans should a decision go the wrong way and rioting break out - he's very serious about the possibility, and now even the President of The USA has spoken out on Twitter...

NFL fans on both sides of the aisle hope the refs' lockout is settled soon. -bo 25 Sep 12
I'd suggest the only way for the NFL to wake up to the discontent is for all fans to agree not to watch one of either the Sunday or Monday night games this weekend, directly effecting revenue to the TV stations, who bankroll the sport, but you know they are too fanatical to even miss one game. I shall not be watching this Thursday's NFL Network game between Baltimore and Cleveland as my own personal stand against the NFL.

We are at Johnnies on Monday from 6:30pm for Sunday Nights Giants @ Phili NFC East clash and back to H's on Tuesday (6:30pm) to see his beloved Bears at Dallas.
