2012 Season - Week 19

Teams of December

It’s fitting that premiership Champion’s Daz’s Underachieving Bastards should be the highest scoring BUMS team of December totalling 192 points across the five December weeks. Chief was the second highest at 181, while Aaron had the highest score in the Conference (147) which lifted him from fourth to the trophy. However there is a BUMS team that would have scored 314 points for just $7million. Head Coach is either Pete Carroll (Weymouth & Seattle) or Mike Shanahan (Underachieving & Washington) both 30pts at $0.5m (while John Fox of Rhodesia & Denver also scored 30 points but costs $1m). QB Russell Wilson 51pts $0.5m (Weymouth & Seattle), Kicker Blair Walsh 47pts $0.5m (California & Minnesota), RBs Marshawn Lynch 42pts $2m (Willoughby & Seattle) and Alfred Morris (Leamington & Washington) 42pts $0.5m and receivers Dez Bryant 36pts $2m (Perivale & Dallas), James Jones 36pts $0.5m (Underachieving & Green Bay) and Eric Decker 30pts $0.5m (Rhodesia and Denver). Our December All-BUMS team would have easily outscored the Non-BUMS team of the month though it did outscore all of our individual teams. That said five of the players who were free agents at the start of December were signed as injury replacements during the month, so at least we can jump on a bandwagon! The following Non-BUMS team cost $6m and scored 229 points in December:- HC Ron Rivera (Carolina) 24pts $0.5m, Seattle Kicker Steven Hauschka 49pts $0.5m was an IR signing by Leamington. Denver kicker Matt Prater also scored 49pts but cost $2m. QB Tony Romo (Dallas) 36pts £2m, receivers Antonio Brown 24pts $1m (Pittsburgh, signed by Tring), Danario Alexander 24pts $0.5m (San Diego, signed by California) and Michael Crabtree 18pts $0.5m (San Francisco, signed by Langley) and RBs David Wilson (Giants) 30pts $0.5m and Denver’s Knowshon Moreno 18pts $0.5m who was signed by Ron. Two other RBs also scored 18pts but cost $1m each, Reggie Bush (Miami) and Mark Ingram (New Orleans).
