Some fantastic games over the weekend, though how Denver lost and Atlanta won still have me scratching my head. How can Peyton be such a great regular season QB and then so average in the play-offs, that was the eighth time in the playoffs he has lost in the first game! But this one wasn’t down to him, I still cannot believe the Denver DBs let Jacoby Jones get behind them like that. And Atlanta won in part because Pete Carroll iced the kicker. Matt Bryant missed his first attempt and without taking the timeout Seattle would be headed to San Francisco. Let’s hope coaches finally learn and we see the end of the worst call in football. Meantime San Francisco took care of business behind Colin Kaepernick’s postseason QB rushing record 181 yards and two TDs and New England outclassed Houston despite losing Rob Gronkowski for the rest of the year as he re-broke his forearm.

Can you say “upset special” as all four higher seeds went out to the giant killers. After beating the number 2 seed last week Marcus (#15) destroyed top seed Daz 48-29 as all the Fire Warriors players scored. Craig (13 seed) defeated Johnnie (3) 41-38 despite Johnnie getting 18 points from Colin Kaepernick, David Stamp (11) outscored Wayne (5) 39-33 and so Andy H is the only top half seed left in the show, the number eight seed defeated Aaron (#7) 39-35. After last weeks defensive battles everyone came out guns ablazing and Johnnie, Wayne and Aaron would have won every game last week but this week all fell. The losers last week averaged 6.1 points while this week they averaged 34 points. The best Divisional team you could have selected would have scored an incredible 84 points for just $6.5m, so why didn’t you play Colin Kaepernick (18pts) at QB, Kicker Matt Bryant (12), RBs Shane Vereen (18) & Arian Foster (12) and Receivers Torrey Smith & Michael Crabtree (12 each). But you didn’t so the Championship round is Craig (13) versus David (11) while Andy H (8) hosts Marcus (15). Teams to me by 10am Saturday please gents.
