2012 Season - Week 13
Final Month
Things are shaping up in the NFL as we reach the final quarter of the season. With a month to go in the AFC, New England have won the East and Denver the West both with 9-3 records. Houston (with the best record in the AFC 11-1) have clinched a playoff spot as well. Baltimore (9-3) lead Pittsburgh and Cincinnati by two games while Indianapolis have the best wildcard record at present (8-4) three games back of Houston. In the NFC, Atlanta (11-1) have clinched the South while no other division leader has more than a two-win lead with four games to go. In fact, no teams in the NFC have been eliminated from the post season yet, while Kansas City, Jacksonville & Oakland are all out in the AFC.
Final Month
Things are shaping up in the BUMS as we reach the final quarter of the season. With a month to go things are really close in all areas. In the hunt for the Papas Fritas, Daz remains at the top but by only six points and only after the final play of the week when Washington won. Johnnie’s big 45 point week has him sniffing his fourth title. We can’t count out the defending champion yet, in fact at one point on Sunday Chief was ahead of Johnnie, although he sits 23 points behind him now. At the other end Dave G seems to be slipping away but there is a huge fight between four owners to get the two safe spots. Cheryl leads Marcus by one point and he is six points above the drop zone where Mark has slipped into. All are looking over their shoulders as Craig is finally putting together the big weeks we expected his squad to do at the start of the season, he is now just two shy of Mark and eight from safety. The closest battle is for the Conference where the top three are separated by two points. H leads with 363, George has 362 and David S has 361. Aaron is just 17 points from promotion while John’s challenge is a tall one but if he outscores David S by just 14 points each week he would end up right on his tail. Attached is a predicted final table based on current standings plus last four weeks scores – interesting, AP beware your slump.
The Bush Is Back
After John trimmed his Kerley Bush at trading day 2, he has died it another colour (it’s no longer brown) but the Bush is back. The Giants put Andre Brown on Injured Reserve and so he resigned Michael Bush. Remember to look out for the health of your players and call Chief if one is put on IR.
