2012 Season - Week 11

Trading Day 2 – So what? (Cont)

… make 6 catches for 83 yards and a TD on Monday (after Davis totaled 9 catches for 101 yards and zero TDs in the previous 4 games combined) to end up at minus seven (rubbish Chief). Does Bill Belichick hate Andy H? 5 years ago H set the BUMS season record with 670 points as he rode the Patriot pass catch combination of Tom Brady and Randy Moss to the title. This year things are a little different:- H signed Julian Edelman at TD1 and then Belichick didn’t play him for 4 games. This week H cut him so not only does Belichick start him but he plays him on goal line plays and returns punts and Edelman scores 2 TDs. H’s new pick up at receiver (the guy he dropped at TD1 for Edelman – hope you are following this) Dez Bryant did score a TD so H ended up at minus six points. Injuries Two Coopers will be playing without key members of their teams for at least a month. Chief has lost Franchise Tight End and part of his Papas Fritas winning pass-catch combo for 4-6 weeks. Blocking on the final PAT in a 59-24 victory Rob Gronkowski broke his arm. Gronk scored 18 TDs last year on the way to the championship and has 10 scores in 10 games so far this year. Meantime Cheryl lost Denver Running back Willis McGahee (26 points so far) to a broken leg and torn MCL and he is due to be out 6-8 weeks. If he goes on IR you can replace him Cheryl. BUMS on Seats It’s Thanksgiving Day this Thursday so we will be at HQ to eat Cheryl’s Holiday Feast and to see Houston @ Detroit followed by Washington @ Dallas. The third game of Sky’s triple header (Patriots @ Jets) is on too late. We will meet at 6:30pm and watch on catch-up while chowing down. Usually means we don’t have to listen to Cadle for too long. We’ll be back at HQ on Sunday from 6pm for two more live Sky games (Chicago @ Minnesota and New Orleans hosting San Francisco). Our third visit to HQ is from 6:30pm on Monday to watch the Sunday Night NFC playoff battle as Green Bay travel to The Giants. Then back at H’s for our regular Tuesday Night helping of the BBC’s coverage of Carolina @ Philadelphia on MNF. Call if you are planning to come so hosts can cater for you.
