2010 Season - Week 1

Transactions

The final week before the start of the season was busy with changes. Dallas had already traded WR Patrick Crayton to San Diego before John drafted him then H’s kicker Kris Brown was cut by Houston. Cheryl saw her franchise running back LenDale White put on IR by Denver so he has gone for the season. Other players affected included Matt Leinart who is now in Houston, TJ Houshmandzadeh who went from Seattle to Baltimore, while Shayne Graham was cut by Baltimore and Willie Parker cut by Washington. Pass-Catch Combo H won the Papas Fritas three seasons ago when he scored a record 670 points (beating the old record by 96 points). He did so behind the record setting pass-catch seasons of Tom Brady and Randy Moss when they hooked up for 23 TDs. Has he found his next pass catch combo as Eli Manning and Hakeem Nicks combined for 3 NY Giant scores on Sunday. At that rate they are on pace to combine for 48 TDs, yes I know it’s only week one. H (33 points) shares the lead in the Premiership with Wayne who picked up 9 points in the last game of the weekend. Aaron is just one point behind. Ron scored the most points of the weekend (34) and leads Dave G in the Conference by two. Our Favourite NFL Franchise Perenial favourites the Indianapolis Colts and the Minnesota Vikings have the most players on BUMS rosters with 7 each. Four teams are represented by six players, Atlanta, Miami, New Orleans and San Diego. Two teams were spurned by the owners, neither Oakland nor Tampa Bay have any players in the BUMS. Trading Day 1 H will be able to improve his team come October 17th when he will be able to sign an active kicker and Cheryl can replace her franchise back then. If you’ve already decided that you have drafted the wrong man and you want to change a player you can do so before the week 6 games on October 17th. Remember if you want to cut a franchise man you still have to pay him for the rest of his contract. Cheryl kept a million dollars back for this purpose. BUMS on Seats After getting together to see six games in week one due to work and holidays we will only be getting together to see two in week two. Sunday is all yours as we will be at H’s on Monday at 6pm to see Sunday Nights ManningBowl as the New York Giants travel to the Indianapolis Colts. Then at HQ on Tuesday from 5pm to see Monday Night Football as San Francisco host New Orleans. Both will be doing food so shout if you want in.
