Draftermath 2010

A Huge Thanks

We had 8 BUMS and 4 Cheerleaders present at HQ plus AP and (once he’d woken up) Wayne online. Sadly George only just got online as round 6 was coming to an end. Wayne started drafting in the middle of the third round but George was very disadvantaged as he could only select the best of the rest. Those who were present enjoyed a great BBQ courtesy of Mark and Cheryl. Many thanks guys and extra thanks to Mark for sorting out the IT. The Experts Choice This year the draft (attached) has been analysed by 7 NFL Fantasy Experts including ESPN and NFL.com who have predicted how many points each player will score this year. Marcus has the best backfield in the BUMS with Mo Jo-Drew (89) & Michael Turner (83) Adrian scoring 172 points. Mark was second on 149 from Peterson (100) and Felix Jones while Andy H is third on 138 points from Gore (74) & Grant (64). Cheryl has the best receiver fleet scoring 149 points from Jackson (53), Colston (53) and Finley (43). Chief is second just 7 points behind with 142 from Fitzgerald (60), Smith (46) and Crabtree (36) while Aaron is third with 133 points from Clark (52), Jennings (46), and Jones (395). The experts believe Chief has the best team totalling 557 points (they predicted defending champ Johnnie to win last year) while Mark will win the Conference with 523 points. Along with Ron and Dave G they will replace George, Craig & Daz in the Big League say the experts. This Year Last Year Looking at how this year’s teams shape up based on the 2009 scores Johnnie is going to defend his crown defeating Andy H by 10 points. Last year’s scores confirm what the experts say that Craig, Daz and George will be relegated. Dave G will win the Conference with a massive 634 points finishing 71 points ahead of Mark with Ron also going up. The Draftermath table shows what should happen… but will it? The Unwanted Sean Payton was rewarded for winning the Superbowl by being ignored by the BUMS owners. Randy Moss was the top star to be snubbed on Monday while David Akers is kicking for the rejects for the second consecutive season. Excluding Ben Roethlisberger and Vincent Jackson who will miss at least the first month of the season the best undrafted team for $10m would have scored a magnificent 593 points last year, good enough to win the Premiership by 9 points & to win in the Conference 96! The rejected team is attached. Trading Day 1 If you’ve already decided that you have drafted the wrong man and you want to change a player you’ll have to wait til before the week 6 games on October 17th. Remember if you want to cut a franchise man you still have to pay him for the rest of his contract. BUMS on Seats The season starts on Thursday 9th when the Saints host the Vikings and we will be at Johnnies from 7pm to watch it with the full schedule kicking in on Sunday 14th when we will be at HQ from 6pm to see the action unfold.
