2003 Season - Week 8

USA, USA

It’s an American double at the top of the league as Paul leads Wayne by 9 points. Marcus will try and spoil the party as he is 7 points behind Wayne going into the Sunday Night Game. Marcus has his kicker Morten Andersen playing in the Sunday game as his head coach goes up against Paul’s when Kansas City entertain Buffalo. Then on Monday Night Wayne gets the chance to reply as his RB LaDainian Tomlinson will try to Squish the Fish. Ladies First In the Conference Cheryl is this weeks leader after a 40 point week puts her 11 points clear of John. Dave G continues to stay in the Promotion Zone despite losing both of his franchise players and having Marshall Faulk out for the last month. H had no running backs playing this week and his kicker on a bye and he drops to 4th. Aaron will try to close the gap if Eric Moulds is healthy enough to play in KC or Ricky can run over San Diego on Monday Night. Trading Day 2 OK if you need help you don’t have to wait for too long. I can now confirm that Trading Day 2 will be on Sunday November 16th at 3pm before the week 11 games. Once the trading is over we will be treated to a tailgating party on the Barbeque (weather permitting) followed by Sky’s doubleheader of Kansas City @ Cincinnati and the battle of the bays as Green Bay travel to Tampa Bay. Thanksgiving Cheryl is delving into the John Madden cookbook and will be creating a Traditional Thanksgiving Football Dinner of Turducken as we watch the Thanksgiving games live. This will be on Thursday 27th November as Green Bay travels to Detroit and Dallas host Miami. It all starts at 5:30pm and should be over by around midnight. If you fancy it please make your reservations at La Restaurante Chez Cheryl on 01753 670651. Food around 7:00pm. BUMS on Seats With the baseball season over Sunday Night Football is back on Channel 5. That means we will now be getting together on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday evenings. We are at Johnny’s tonight to see the Bills @ the Chiefs, at H’s on Wednesday to see Miami @ San Diego and back at HQ next Sunday from 6pm for another doubleheader as Indianapolis take on Miami followed by Pittsburgh @ Seattle. Add in College Football on NASN on Friday and Saturday nights and I only have to talk to the wife on Tuesday and Thursdays now!!
