2003 Season - Week 3
Early Week 3 Report
With four of the most popular BUMS teams still to play there are still 19 players yet to take the field. The Sunday Night game features Buffalo at Miami (8 BUMS players) while Oakland travel to Denver on MNF (11 BUMS players). So far Dave G is the highest scorer in week 3 with 38 points. Cheryl and Dave G swapped highest scores throughout Sunday. The Conference is becoming as competitive as a Man Utd Arsenal game. Aaron may have dropped off the pace but he still has Ricky Williams, Eric Moulds and Rod Smith to play.
AP unlikely to be in Hall of Shame
Despite posting a duck egg after the 12 games scored so far the highest scorer of week 1 need not panic. He still has his kicker Rian Lindell to play for Buffalo on Sunday Night’s game and his QB Rich Gannon taking on his Franchise runner Clinton Portis who will try to win the game for his Head Coach Mike Shanahan. He could still win week 3!!
Injury - What Injury
In the off-season a lot of questions were asked about Priest Holmes hip after it stopped his record setting charge when he missed the last two and a half games of last season. This Wednesday he did not practice due to a rib injury and the Chiefs took him out of the game shortly after half-time. It didn’t matter, he’d already scored 2 TD’s and now has already scored 42 points this season. It’s early but he’s on pace to score 37 touchdowns smashing the record of 26 set by Marshall Faulk in 2000. Holmes has now scored 14 TD’s (84 points) in his last 6 games! Priest has scored 246 points since Chief took him for $0.5m in the 5th round of the 2001 draft where he was the 30th running back chosen.
