2003 Season - Week 10

Trading Day 2 - this Sunday

By 6pm on Sunday you will have created a team that will be good enough to carry you through to the end of the season. These 8 men will help you achieve your season end goals and it is with these 8 men, strong and true, that you will fight for the next 7 weeks. The only way you will get to change any players is if one of your team are placed on IR. If so you will then be able to replace the injured player but remember if he is a Franchise player you will still have to pay his salary as well as that of his replacement. So Sunday November 16th is a big day for the BUMS. We will start Trading Day 2 at 4pm (prompt) followed by Cheryl’s fine food and then the Sky doubleheader of Kansas City @ Cincinnati and the battle of the bays as Green Bay travel to Tampa Bay. Trading Order As with TD1 the order starts with the lowest scorer and runs through to the highest. So as things stand Phil will cut and pick first while Wayne will go 16th. The full order will be sent out on Thursday together with any other new players who score on Sunday or Monday night. The new player additions together with the original player pool are attached. Whither Johnny A few weeks ago he claimed he was playing for trading position but surely no-one could have seen the 1995 Champ fall this far. The All-time leading points scorer in BUMS history has always been a shrewd judge of unearthing new talent. He took both Randy Moss and Edgerrin James as rookies in back-to-back years and this year’s team including Favre, Akers, McAllister & Bruce look pretty good. Despite Rookie Charlie Rogers injury are they really the 2nd worst BUMS team? Expect Johnny to be aggressive in his moves on Sunday. No Hall of Fame yet We have had 36 visits to the Hall of Fame but after 9 full weeks of the season we still have yet to see anyone make the Hall of Fame in this already documented low scoring season. However two owners have a reasonable shot of making the Hall this week and it all hinges on the Sunday night game. Marcus needs Bulger to pass for 3 TD’s, one of which must be caught by Torry Holt to secure his first visit to the Hall while Wayne needs two TD’s from Jamal Lewis to make his third visit and to help him stay ahead of both Paul and Marcus. BUMS on Seats We are at Johnny’s on Monday from 7pm to see if either Marcus or Wayne make the Hall as the Ravens travel to St Louis, and at H’s on Wednesday to see Green Bay @ Philadelphia. Then Sunday from 4pm it Trading Day 2. Let me know if you are coming.
