2002 Season - Week 9
New Scoring Update
As we reach the halfway point in the season Channel 5 will now be showing the Sunday Night game live whilst continuing to show the Monday Night Game in the early hours of Wednesday morning. We will be getting together to watch the Sunday Night Game on Monday evenings and as a result from now on the update you receive on Monday afternoon will not include the scoring from both Sunday and Monday nights match-ups. A second update including both of these will be sent out on Thursday once we have watched the Monday Night game on Wednesday evening.
New Leader in the Premiership
The man with the inside info has taken over Pole Position for the Papas Fritas as with one player each left to play this week Wayne has taken a six point lead over The Chief. Is this an earlier than last year slump for the man who has lead since week 2. The Chief has squandered a 32 point lead he held as recently as week 6. Meantime at the other end of the table Cheryl and Dave G have some serious trading to think about as they fall away from the pack whilst anyone of 5 are within 3 TD’s of the final drop spot. In the Conference Phil continues to look good for promotion whilst you can perm any two from three for the other Premiership spots as AP, Aaron and John continue to swap positions on a weekly basis. Ron has been suffering from the usual expansion difficulties but can’t be counted out yet. With 8 weeks left he is 45 points behind the Promotion line, that’s just one TD a week.
Trading Day 2 & Thanksgiving Day Doubleheader
Next weeks newsletter will have all the player details you require for Trading Day which is from 4pm on Sunday November 17th. Remember it’s your final chance to put it all right and trading is followed by a Sky Doubleheader. On Friday 29th November during the day we will be watching both the Thanksgiving Day games and Cheryl will be cooking up a Feast for all who can take the day off work and enjoy Thanksgiving at the Coopers.
