2002 Season - Week 15
The BUMS Players Hall of Fame
The votes from all owners have been tallied and I am pleased to announce the 7 inaugural players to be honoured. Special mention goes to Marshall Faulk who totalled more points than any other player (102). Joining Marshall in the Hall are Brett Favre (86), Jerry Rice (55), Emmitt Smith(39), Gary Anderson(25), Wesley Walls(22) and Terrell Owens(20).
AFC Chaos NFC sorted (nearly)
With just two weeks to go there are still no AFC teams through to the playoffs and 13 of the 16 clubs are still in with a shout! In the NFC Philadelphia clinched the NFC East and Tampa Bay qualified for the play-offs. Although the South is the only NFC division without a champion so far losses by New Orleans and Atlanta means the Bucs are one game from clinching. The Saints and Falcons losses, combined with The Giants win means NewYork still have a shot at the postseason.
AP on a Rollercoaster
Two weeks ago it was a Hall of Fame 51 points, last week a disappointing 12 and this week it’s 59 points as AP makes his second ever visit to the Owners Hall of Fame. With John Botten’s league record score last week the two have taken the promotion battle really seriously and despite over 100 points in 3 weeks Ron is in danger of missing out. In the relegation fight Cheryl responded this week with 41 points moving her 1 ahead of Mark and just 10 behind Andy H and safety. Meanwhile at the top of the table the Chief maintains a slender 3 point lead over Stampy but David still has his kicker to play on Monday Night.
Chief gets new Running Back
Following Chicago placing Anthony Thomas on Injured Reserve Chief has selected Atlanta rookie T.J. Duckett as his partner to Priest Holmes in the backfield. However the leagues top scorer is now injured, leaving the crucial Chiefs Broncos game at the end of the third quarter with a hip injury and declining to comment as he left the locker room on crutches.
BUMS on Seats
6:30pm tonight at Johnny’s is the Sunday night Cards-Rams game, then on Wednesday at 6:30pm we are at Andy H’s for the key AFC clash, Tennessee (8-5) at New England (8-5). That’s if H’s TV is fixed, if not it’s Johnny’s again. Next Sunday it’s BUMS HQ from 6pm for Sky’s AFC West doubleheader, but note there are 3 non-TV games on Saturday night.
