2001 Season - Week 4

Trading Day 1 - This Sunday

BUMS HQ is the venue for you to make those necessary changes to get yourself back into the championship race. If you cannot join us for the afternoon’s fun and want to trade players let me know asap and we’ll try to organise another way for you to trade players. The Trading will start at 4pm and should last about an hour. Cheryl will then prepare a meal for everyone so please let us know if you can attend in person. This will be followed by a Sky Doubleheader featuring Tampa Bay @ Tennessee followed by Miami @ The Jets. Remember to diary note Trading Day 2 will be the weekend of November 17th-18th. New players will be made available via e:mail by Wednesday lunchtime. Congratulations to Marcus Marcus won week 4 after scoring 42 points and as a result he has moved up the table to 4th place as the top 4 open up a small gap. Meanwhile at the other end 4 owners are dropping behind early in the relegation battle. It’s still very early so productive team changes this Sunday could propel any team to the top of the table by the end of the season. But speaking of falling behind… Hall Of Shame - Surely Not Again Last week John Botten became the first owner to be placed in the Hall on 2 occasions after Garrison Hearst failed to score for San Fran on Monday Night leaving John without a point in week 3. Unbelievably John could be in the Hall again this week if Jason Hanson doesn’t kick a point for Detroit on Monday - I say unbelievably because his team really isn’t that bad, look at it. Highest Scoring Week Ever Despite John’s 0 points last week saw the highest weekly total in the 6 year history of the BUMS as the owners combined to score 439 points 14 more than week 14 of 1998. We should see higher scores as we have more owners this year, but this also means lesser players have to be chosen. This week prior to MNF we have combined for just 283 points. Monday Night Football Detroit Lions versus St Louis Rams will be watched as live at Johnny’s on Wednesday from 7:00pm. As in previous years the league table will be produced without the MNF scoring.
