2000 Season - Week 19

BUMS Playoffs

And so to the Final Four. Perhaps fittingly the semi-finals for Bumsbowl V feature the four players who have attended most games this season. Andy H will play Gareth and Johnny takes on Cheryl who went ahead of reigning champ Daz when Daluiso kicked his second Field Goal with 8:57 to go in the final Divisional game - by which time she was tucked up in bed, but was said to be Over The Moon about the victory. A week is a long time with the BUMS Attached is one of the favourite charts of the year giving a graphical view of your position in the league table each week. How high did you fly- how low did you go? All-Time Career Points Johnny remains top of the All-Time Scoring chart but Mark has moved into second after his back-to-back Championships. In the Average Points per year chart Johnny leads Mark by 23.9 at the top. Gully continues to be the best of those who joined after the first year while David Stamps freefall continues from 1st in the average chart after his debut year to 8th last year to 11th this year. Phil and Paul showed the best improvement both moving up two places to 9th and 12th respectively. Coaching Changes As Daz is to Running Backs and Mark is to QB’s so Chief is to Coaches. Following June Jones and Dennis Erickson it was reported last night that Chiefs Head Coach this year Wade Phillips has been fired by Buffalo. Also gone is Gully’s man Gunther Cunningham, Kansas are trying to talk Dick Vermeil into coming out of retirement again. Meanwhile in Washington former Kansas Coach Marty Schottenheimer is the new Head Coach of the Billionaires Boys Club. Can he keep Dan The Fan happy? BUMS on SEATS So we are set for the Championship Games at BUMS HQ on Sunday 14th from 5:30pm. First it’s the NFC game, Minnesota @ The Giants followed @ 9pm by Baltimore @ The Mighty Oakland Raiders.
