2000 Season - Week 18
BUMS Playoffs
Unfortunately the adverse weather conditions between Xmas and New Year (or was too much Christmas Spirit) resulted in three owners failing to produce teams resulting in Bye’s for Cheryl, Dave G and Gareth. Two Times BUMSBOWL Winner Daz beat Paul to continue the defense of his title. In the Divisional Round this week the match-ups are as follows :-
MARK v GARETH JOHNNY v DAVE G
H v JOHN DAZ v CHERYL
Remember you need one QB, one kicker and any FOUR outfield players to be selected within a budget of $7.5 million using the attached spreadsheet. Get your teams back to me asap so we can sort out any swaps needed. The second owner in each match to respond may need to change one of their preferred players.
Voting Time
Yet once again it’s time to vote for your favourite players as we prepare to announce the 2000 ALL-BUMS team at Superbowl XXXV which is on January 28th at BUMS HQ. Your 3 fave RB’s and WR’s (in order) and also in order your top 2 QB’s, TE’s, Kickers and Head Coaches please. The attached spreadsheet with top BUMS player points should help your preparations. Votes for both ALL-BUMS to me by January 21st please.
Franchise Players
Maybe the secret of Marks success these past two years has been the performance of his franchise players. The attached chart could also explain Daz and The Chief’s poor record over the last two seasons. Don’t forget I need your new Franchise Player who will sign with you at this years price for the 2001 and 2002 seasons. Remember he must be on your team but you cannot re-sign your 1999/2000 Franchise man. Due to Injured Reserve designation AP can chose Bear receiver Marcus Robinson and Mark can go for Saints QB Jeff Blake. For Paul this will be his second franchise player and as Aaron will be joining us at the start of next season he will have no Franchise players and will receive 2 extra picks in the draft as compensation. Franchise players to me also by Jan 21.
BUMS on SEATS
This week-ends the first double header on Saturday 6th is at Andy H’s (cable willing) in Perivale from 5:00pm and features New Orleans @ Minnesota followed by the big clash, Miami @ Oakland. It’s BUMS HQ on Sunday 7th for Baltimore @ Tennessee and Philadelphia @ NY Giants also from 5:00pm.
