2000 Season - Week 16

And then there were Four

As we enter the last week of the season the Papas Fritas Trophy is likely to come from one of the top 4. It’s one of the closest finishes we have ever had and may go to the last game when Phil has his top scorer Eddie George playing for Tennessee. 23 BUMS players voted to the Pro Bowl The Pro Bowl rosters have been announced for the end of season game in Hawaii where the best players in the AFC take on the best in the NFC. A superb 5 of Paul’s 7 players have made the party, unsurprisingly the most from any BUMS owner, the next best was 2 players shared by 6 owners. See attached spreadsheet. Play-Off Picture With just 1 week left only two of the divisions have been won. The NY Giants are NFC East Champs at 11-4 and New Orleans are NFC West Champs at 10-5. Also in the NFC playoffs are Philadelphia (10-5), Minnesota (11-4) and Tampa Bay (10-5). Looking for the last place are Detroit ( 9-6) who hold the tie-breaker over St Louis (9-6), and the 8-7 Green Bay Packers. In the AFC West Oakland (11-4) have a half game lead over Denver (10-5) and in the Central Tennessee (12-3) have a half game lead over Baltimore (11-4). All four have made the playoffs. The final two spots will come from Miami (10-5), Indianapolis and NY Jets (both 9-6) and Pittsburgh (8-7).
