2000 Season - Week 15
Mark Accepts The Challenge
Having last week pointed out how Mark needed to improve his performance if he wants to retain the Papas Fritas Trophy he certainly rose to the occasion. A 51 point week saw the third (& his second) Hall of Fame performance of the season, and resulted in a leap from 6th to 2nd place. Mr Consistent he certainly isn’t. On October 29th he scored 52 points followed by 5-7-18-14-7 (to end a run of 51 in 5 weeks) & then this week back up to 51.
Marcus and Phil Climb into Contention
Marcus (38points,) Phil and AP (37 points each) also put together good weeks. Phil and Marcus moved within 3 TD’s of H (and Marcus has two Monday Night Players). It’s come too late for AP who moved above Daz. AP picked up a new Receiver (Keenan McCardell) after Marcus Robinson was placed on IR. Dave G and Gully have dropped out of the chase leaving 7 prospective champions. This is a good example of how the 2 divisions will create interest for everyone until the end of the season as next year, with these scores, Dave G, Gully, AP, Daz and John will all be fighting to stay in the top 10 and avoid relegation.
Play-Off Picture
