2000 Season - Week 10

Trading Day 2

This Saturday from 7:30 at BUMS HQ we will all be meeting to exchange players. Please let me know if you can/cannot make it so Cheryl can organise catering and I can organise another way of contacting you. So far the only people I know who cannot make it are John Botten and Mark.Looking across the rosters I expect everybody will be making at least one trade. Attached is a spreadsheet showing how successful the owners were on the first Trading Day. Best Trader’s were :- 1) David S +30pts, 2) Daz +28pts , 3) Andy H +24pts, 4) Phil +21. But beware it can go wrong... 8) John -5pts, 9) Gareth -21, 10) Johnny -24. Chief will be the first player to give up his players followed by David Stamp and so on through to Paul and finally Mark. After all players have been returned to the player pool we will then re-draft starting with Gareth and picking one player each back up through the table until the first round is complete, and then continuing to pick in that order until all owners have re-stocked their rosters. Remember you can cut any player but if you cut a Franchise Player you do not save his salary. All the details you need, including 5 new players are on the attached documents. After Further Review During the week Mark pressed his challenge button and threw his red flag onto the field to challenge the ruling that his non attendance at last weeks Rams/49’ers game was in contravention of rule7.14. Much was written in the press about the decision but after further review the ruling on the field has been overturned and Mark will be credited with the 36 points from Faulk and Owens. (Those of you with Eagle-Eyes will have noticed the players had already been credited with them on the scores spreadsheet we just removed them from the league table). Mark has not been charged a time-out. The combination of last weeks rule 7.14 and the fact the Silver & Black were against Kansas on Sky TV resulted in Mark’s first appearance at a BUMS event this year. He may decide to stay away from future games however as his weekly total of just 5 points was his lowest weekly score ever. BUMS on TV This Wednesday evening we are back at Johnny’s in North Harrow to watch to the NFC Central match-up with Green Bay hosting Minnesota. On Sunday we are back at BUMS HQ for the second Sky Doubleheader of the year. At 6pm the Philadelphia Eagles (6-4) are at the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-4) followed at 9pm by the (7-2) New York Giants hosting the suddenly spluttering St Louis Rams who are now also 7-2 and will be without both Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk for at least another 2 to 3 weeks.
