2000 Season - Week 4

Start Planning For Trading Day

Three hours after Wembley witnesses En-ger-land turn over the Bosch in the World Cup Qualifier we will be gathering at BUMS HQ to make the first changes to our squads in a vein attempt to catch current champ and run-away leader Mark Bowden. Cheryl was the only person to beat Mark this week and his lead over Paul grew by another 5 points. Injuries have played a major part in affecting the scores so I expect it to be a busy trading day. Listed below are the owners who have players out for either a significant time or out for the season. Mark - QB Troy Aikman missed 2 games with concussion but is now back. Paul - Unaffected. Cheryl -RB Mario Bates has yet to play for his new club Detroit. Gully - TE Damon Jones was lost for the season in week 1. Marcus - RB Mike Cloud has had very few carries for Kansas City. Phil - Kicker Jason Elam is out for at least six weeks following week 2 injury. Johnny - RB Fred Taylor missed the first 3 games but returned this Monday. Dave G - QB Brian Griese, RB Richard Huntley & WR Derrick Mayes have all missed games due to injury, Griese will need surgery but more news is due this week. Andy H - Needs a new TE as Mark Chmura has no team, RB Dorsey Levens missed the first 2 games but is back, WR Joey Galloway was lost for the season after an injury in week 1. Daz - Like H, Daz has a Franchise player not playing this year as there is no news of a return for RB Robert Edwards. Also Washington have cut injured Kicker Brett Conway. AP - Unaffected. Gareth - Lost WR Michael Westbrook for the season in week 2 and his kicker Mike Hollis required surgery before week 3 and is a long term doubt John - K Todd Peterson was a shock pre-season cut by Seattle & has not signed elsewhere David S - The first pick in the BUMS draft RB Terrell Davis has missed over 3 games so far but is expected back this week. His other RB, Miami’s JJ Johnson has had only 5 carries this year and his other Dolphin QB Damon Huard lost his starting job before week 1. Next week’s newsletter will include a list of new players to add to the player pool ready for selection so look out for the e:post on Monday, and I’ll also include the original player list, then it’s happy planning and I’ll see you all on Saturday October 7th at 7pm to celebrate England’s glorious win and to execute our plans to catch Mark.
